Frequently asked questions.
Questions travelers often ask us at the counter or after their trip.
- 01
What kind of coffee is SEJA?
SEJA is a Korean coffee mix, made in Korea and sold only at Korean duty-free. Inspired by 1896, the year coffee first arrived in Korea. 20 sticks per box (190 g total).
- 02
I've never heard of this brand.
SEJA COFFEE is a Korean heritage coffee mix brand by DIDIT Inc. DIDIT also creates the JUNGMISO label, whose Sugar-Free Dubai Chewy Cookie reached number one in the dessert category on KakaoTalk Gifts. SEJA COFFEE is the next chapter from the same team. A Korean flavor, the joy of a small gift, and a heritage held within a single cup — currently presented at Lotte Duty Free Gimhae International Airport and Lotte Duty Free Gimpo Airport (East Wing).
- 03
Why is the mascot a lion?
SEJA COFFEE begins from the figure of the Joseon crown prince. We needed a symbol that could carry that identity at first glance, and chose the lion — universally read as the King, and a quiet match for the brand's sense of dignity, composure, and memorability. In Korean, Seja (prince, 世子) and Saja (lion) rhyme — a small grace that helps the brand stay easily, vividly, in mind.
- 04
How is it different from other Korean coffee mixes?
SEJA COFFEE is a coffee mix that holds both a Korean flavor and the experience of a gift. Roasted Korean rice is blended into each stick for its nutty aroma, and the cup arrives smooth and clean without sugar. A different fortune message is printed on each stick, and one of every twenty is a GOLDEN STICK — so the moment of opening matters as much as the cup itself.
- 05
What does it taste like?
Familiar Korean-style coffee-mix sweetness + a quiet roasted-rice aroma + a clean, light finish. Daily-drinkable.
- 06
Is it really 0 g sugar?
Yes. 0 g of sugar per 9.5 g stick. Sweeteners such as stevia are used in place of sugar. See the box side for full nutrition info.
- 07
Where can I buy it?
Now at Lotte Duty Free Gimhae Airport and Lotte Duty Free Gimpo Airport (East Wing).
- 08
How do I brew it?
Empty one stick into a cup and add 80 ml of hot water. For iced: dissolve the stick in about 20 ml of hot water first, then add ice and top up with cold water to taste.
- 09
Does it fit within the duty-free allowance?
Korea's outbound duty-free allowance is US$800 per traveler. SEJA fits easily within that.
- 10
What are the Golden Stick and Fortune messages?
Each stick carries one of 40 different fortune messages on the back — a small daily ritual. One rare Golden Stick is also hidden in every box; finding it means today's luck is yours.
- 11
Any allergens?
Original is produced in a facility that handles milk and soy. See the back of the package for the full allergen statement.
- 12
Will there be other flavors?
Matcha and banana-milk editions are planned.
